GeoVerse®011: Babe Ruth’s “Called Shot” Myth

Supposed footage of Babe Ruth’s “Called Shot” home run in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series. While it is intriguing footage, there are questions to consider when viewing the footage. The batter’s eye in center field does not appear to be at Wrigley Field and attempts to verify it as being Wrigley Field have not been successful. The skyline in the background, additional outfield bleachers and the overall look of the field does appear to be Wrigley Field. However, there are other question of validity.

Was the most famous home run of all time real or a myth? The real question is, who was Chicago Cubs pitcher Guy Bush and how did he earn the distinction of having not just one, but two “Called Shot” home runs belted against him?
